CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES to Marie Harkins and Matt Williams, who were married last
week at the Cathedral of St. Peter in CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY This week we
conclude our reflection on the Corporal Works of Mercy with a look at the
last two acts: “Visit the
Imprisoned” and “Bury the Dead”. ---“Visit
the Imprisoned” Those in prison
remain our brothers and sisters.
Make it easier for families to visit by helping with transportation or
child care. ---“Bury
the Dead” Attend wakes and funerals
to show your respect for the person who is now in God’s care, and to
offer support to the bereaved.
Visit those who have lost loved ones in the weeks and months after the
funeral. Offer practical help,
like yard work or running errands.
Sometimes just listening is the best way to ease their pain. Mark Your Calendar!
